           RAGGING : A DEVELOPING DANGER

In this era of scientific explossion  one of the most common news we see in the newspaper is about “RAGGING”. Ragging in school and colleges is fast getting acceptabilities and vespectability.

Its spreading widely as a symbol of prestige and modernity in the campus. Ragging is became popular in professional institution like Engineering &    medical colleges day by day.  Number of students who are losing their life because of ragging is  increasing day by day.

In many public school , specially senior secondary classes,  ragging section is gaining a new horizon. A more amazing  fact is that even the authorities are permiting this.

 Many defend the practise of ragging the freshers as a harmless way of introducing & free mixing up with senior in a new institution .some people who believe that ragging will make student smart up to a limit. It will help the children to face troubles and be confident in life. Some consider it as the stepping stone to face reality to life . However , giving sanction to ragging in any forms is only giving a green signal to the senior student to bully , humiliate and even for tune their juniors.   

Harassing juniors making them afraid and ill treating them are the most evil habits & it should not be allowed in educational institution at any cost. And it is heared that , there practices are promoted by certain private institutions which impose lakhs as donation for their personal interest . its just a cruel way of getting pleasure for stronger student by making weaker student to suffer , it is a shame that our country has the distinction of promoting such deeds.

There are other civilized ways of introducing and encouraging the junior. Senior are supposed to help junior in the new environment. They must be made aware of the ill effect of ragging. Ragging should be strictly banned in institution .
